Derby County’s Chris Martin and Ikechi Anya have been named in the Scotland squad for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against England next month.

The Group F qualifier will take place at Hampden Park on Saturday 10th June 2017, kick-off 5pm.
Striker Martin, who spent the 2016/17 season on loan at fellow Sky Bet Championship side Fulham, and the versatile Anya are in Gordon Strachan’s 29-man squad for the game.

Martin, 28, came off the bench to score the winner in Scotland’s 1-0 victory at home to Slovenia back in March to breathe new life into their qualification campaign.

He has hit the net three times in 12 international appearances while 29-year-old Anya, who joined Derby from Premier League Watford back in August 2016, has 26 full international caps to his name.

Anya was named in the starting line-up for Scotland’s 3-0 defeat against England at Wembley Stadium back in November, playing at right-back, while Martin was an unused substitute.

The Derby duo will meet up with the Scotland squad on Sunday 4th June to begin preparations for the match.
