Derby County club partner Purpose Media was named Derbyshire’s Creative Business of the Year at the Derby Telegraph’s 2017 Business Awards.

They were presented with the prestigious gong at a glittering ceremony at the Roundhouse in Derby last week.

The Rams’ relationship with Purpose Media has grown considerably in recent months and, earlier this week, several months of work came to fruition with the launch of the new-look official club website, dcfc.co.uk.

Sponsored by Mainframe at the Derby QUAD, the award recognises the Derbyshire company which displays creative excellence in everything it does.

Purpose Media was also named as a finalist in the Sales and Marketing Award.

Purpose Media’s Managing Director Matt Wheatcroft said: “We’ve won numerous business awards over the years, but the majority have been for our growth and our performance as a business, so to be recognised for our creativity as well is fantastic.

“We’ve come a long way since we started out as a website developer in 2009. We’ve transformed the business strategically, by acquiring or recruiting in the right professionals who are all experts in their individual fields, to become a full-service agency which combines technology and marketing for memorable customer experiences.

“To be recognised and acknowledged for the creativity we bring to each and every one of the projects we work on is amazing. Is it shows we are now known not only as a good business which has helped more than 600 companies to achieve and, in many cases, exceed their own sales goals, but also for the creative talents we possess in house.

“I’d like to pass on a huge thank you to our Creative Director, Claudio, his leadership team colleagues Jamie and Katie, and the whole team at Purpose Media for their hard work over the past two years as we started the journey towards becoming a full-service agency, for making achieving this award possible.”
