Derby County’s Tom Lawrence and Richard Keogh could be involved as the race to qualify for the FIFA 2018 World Cup Finals hots up in Group D.

Wales and Republic of Ireland are both in action this evening and face key games against Moldova and Serbia respectively, with both matches set to kick-off at 7:45pm.

Lawrence, 23, made his first Welsh start in Saturday’s crucial 1-0 win over Austria in Cardiff and played 69 minutes before he was replaced by matchwinner Ben Woodburn.

The wideman, however, is hoping that he has done enough to keep his place in Chris Coleman’s starting line-up for the trip to Chișinau to face bottom-placed Moldova.

Wales go into that game just two points behind Republic of Ireland, who face a top of the table clash against group leaders Serbia at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Keogh will be hoping for a return to the starting line-up and add to his haul of 17 caps after being an unused substitute in Saturday’s 1-1 draw away at Georgia.
