Derby County’s Joe Ledley played just over an hour as Wales fell to a 2-0 international friendly defeat to France in Paris.

The midfielder played 64 minutes before being replaced by Chelsea’s Ethan Ampadu at the Stade de France as Antoine Griezmann’s and Olivier Giroud’s strikes sealed a comfortable win for the hosts.

Tom Lawrence was introduced as a late substitute in the match, replacing Sam Vokes to collect his 11th cap for his country.

Elsewhere, Alex Babos was an unused substitute in his first involvement on the international stage as Wales’ Under-21s fell to a 4-0 home defeat to Bosnia & Herzegovina in Bangor.

All three could return to action next Tuesday (14th November) when Wales’ senior side return to Cardiff to face Panama and the Under-21s take on Romania.
