Derby County Under-16s midfielder Louie Sibley has been selected for England’s Under-17s for their upcoming games this month.

His selection for Michael Cooper’s recently crowned World Cup champions comes after a string of impressive performances from Sibley, seeing him become a mainstay in Justin Walker and Rory Delap’s Under-18 side.

So far this campaign the exciting talent, who bases himself in the middle of the park, has already added silverware to his name after the Under-16s won the Italian Ferretti Cup last week.

He also helped the same side in reaching the semi-finals of a Premier League tournament last weekend at Everton’s Finch Farm, beating Chelsea (3-0) and Reading (2-0) along the way.

During his time away with his nation, Sibley will link up with England on Sunday 5th November and faces the prospect of playing three fixtures against Portugal (8th November), Russia (11th November) and Germany (14th November).
