Jonathan Mitchell has joined Sky Bet League 1 side Oxford United on a half-season loan.
The 23-year-old former England Under-21 shot-stopper will remain at the Kassam Stadium until January and link up with former team-mate Jamie Hanson, who joined Karl Robinson’s side on a permanent deal on Transfer Deadline Day last week.
It represents the former Newcastle United man’s second loan spell of his career after he also enjoyed a one-month spell with Luton Town in 2016 before he was recalled.
Derby County would like to wish Jonathan all the best in his loan spell with Oxford.
"He needs to play games."
