Derby County goalkeeper David Marshall has been called up to the Scotland squad for their upcoming international fixtures.

Scotland boss Steve Clarke has named the goalkeeper in his 27-man squad for their next three games.

That includes their crucial UEFA Nations League Play-Off Final in Serbia, which takes place in Belgrade on Thursday 12th November (7:45pm kick off).

The Tartan Army beat Israel on penalties last month - following a 0-0 draw - in the Semi-Final with Marshall the hero, saving a spot kick as Scotland were victorious in the shoot-out.

Should they beat Serbia next week, they will earn a place in the European Championships next summer alongside England in Group D.

Clarke’s side are currently unbeaten in their last eight games, and they sit top of the UEFA Nations League Group B2 and sit four points ahead of their nearest challengers, the Czech Republic.

Should they win one of their final two fixtures, they will win promotion to League A, but standing in their way are trips to Slovenia and Israel.

Scotland will travel to Trnava to take on Slovenia on Sunday 15th November (2pm kick-off), whilst three days later, on Wednesday 18th November, they will face Israel at the Netanya Stadium in Netanya (7:45pm kick-off).

Marshall has earned 39 caps for Scotland since making his debut as a 19-year-old back in 2004 and has kept nine clean sheets in total, of which three have come in his last three outings.
