Derby County defender Eiran Cashin has been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for their upcoming international fixtures.

The centre-back has been a mainstay in Liam Rosenior’s side so far this season, starting every League One fixture to date.

He made his Republic of Ireland Under-21’s debut back in June of this year and following his steady performances in the heart of the Derby defence - has been awarded with yet another call-up.

Cashin will report for international duty on 18th September and will be part of the squad that takes on Israel on 23rd September and then again on 27th September for two key Play-Off matches as they look to book their place at the Under-21 European Championships.

The Tallaght Stadium in Dublin will host the first fixture (7pm kick-off), whilst the reverse will take place at the Bloomfield Stadium in Tel Aviv at 8:15pm local time (6:15pm UK time).
