Derby County winger Lewis Dobbin says he's happy with his current performance levels - but is still aiming to continue to improve in the remaining months of the 2022/23 season.
The 20-year-old wideman, on loan from Premier League side Everton, has been involved in all but one of the Rams' games so far this campaign and has hit a real purple patch of form in recent weeks.
Speaking to RamsTV ahead of the trip to Wycombe Wanderers, Dobbin discussed David McGoldrick, his recent performances and Saturday's fixture.
On what it's like playing with David McGoldrick...
He's a Rolls Royce of a player. He sees things that others don't and I think me and him have a good connection when we play together.
From the day I arrived here he has had his arm around me and taught me a lot of things. I'm trying to add more to my game so hopefully it is showing on the pitch now.
On his game at the moment...
I feel good. I think the last month or so I've been a bit better but I still think I've got a long way to go and I feel there's a long way to go. I'm still trying to improve a lot of things in my game. Hopefully I can keep getting better and better.
On how happy he is with how involved he's been in the squad...
Whether I'm playing or not my attitude stays the same and I'm eager to prove myself. I'm hungry to improve so hopefully I can keep doing that.
As soon as the gaffer came in he said: 'you can't expect to play every minute of every game' and I understand that. When I do, I will always give my all and hopefully impress.
On Paul Warne being named Manager of the Month...
I wouldn't say he's downplayed it to be fair, we walked into the team meeting on Thursday with him playing the Lion King music and he got the award out! It's definitely a reward for the team though and we can all take credit because we've all earned it.
On Wycombe Wanderers...
They are a strong team. They are good at home but it's nothing that we haven't faced already and we'll go into the game full of confidence looking to get the three points.
