Tom Lawrence and Joe Ledley have been included in the Wales squad to face Georgia and the Republic of Ireland in the final round of 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Chris Coleman’s side travel to Tbilisi on Friday 6th October before they face Republic of Ireland at the Cardiff City Stadium in a crunch final qualification match three days later for a fixture that is likely to decide the play-off place in Group D.

However, Wales currently sit a point ahead of Ireland and a win in Georgia could secure the play-off position if Martin O’Neill’s side are beaten at home by Moldova.

Lawrence has featured in each of Wales’ last three qualifiers – including starts in the previous two against Austria and Moldova – and will be looking to earn his ninth international cap.

If Ledley features in both games he’ll go level with Dean Saunders as Wales’ fifth most capped player of all-time on 75 appearances.
