Team mates will become enemies for at least 90 minutes this evening when Wales face Republic of Ireland in a crunch FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifier.

Derby County trio Tom Lawrence, Joe Ledley (both Wales) and Richard Keogh (Republic of Ireland) will all be hoping to feature in a winner takes all meeting at the Cardiff City Stadium, kick-off: 7:45pm.

Just a point separates the two home nations, who reside second and third in Group D respectively, heading into the final match.

A win for either will, at the very least, seal a play-off position, but depending on the outcome of Serbia’s clash with Georgia, three points could also secure top spot and automatic qualification for the World Cup Finals in Russia next summer.

Both Wales and Republic of Ireland won their penultimate fixtures last time out.

Lawrence scored the winner as he and Ledley helped the Red Dragons claim a 1-0 win over Georgia in Tbilisi, whilst Keogh, the Rams’ captain, was an unused substitute in Ireland’s 2-0 victory over Moldova.
