Whilst circumstances currently mean there’s no live football to enjoy, dcfc.co.uk is delving into the archives to feature a photograph from Derby County’s illustrious history.

For the foreseeable future, we’ll provide you an image each day for supporters to enjoy and reminisce.

Hulse On Target As Derby Defeat Forest At Pride Park

Pictured here is Derby County striker Rob Hulse scoring the only goal of the game in a 1-0 Championship win over local rivals Nottingham Forest in January 2010 at Pride Park Stadium.

Hulse’s late winner settled a frantic East Midlands derby and ended Forest's 19-game unbeaten league run.

Hulse headed in Kris Commons' free-kick with 10 minutes left to secure victory in a game high on effort but low on chances.

Derby, managed by Nigel Clough, ended the season in 14th place in the table and Hulse finished as the Rams’ leading goalscorer with 12 goals.

Hulse made 96 appearances in all competitions, scoring 31 times, after joining Derby from Sheffield United in July 2008 before leaving to join Queens Park Rangers in August 2010.
