The draw for the First Round proper of the 2022/23 FA Youth Cup was made on Friday 14th October - and Derby County’s Under-18s have been handed an away tie.
Jake Buxton’s side will travel to Nottinghamshire outfit Basford United, who defeated Deeping Rangers, Long Eaton United, Notts County and Lincoln United in the qualifying stages to reach the First Round.
There are 40 ties in the First Round of the competition, with the 32 non-league clubs who have progressed through the qualifying rounds being joined by 48 teams from League One and League Two.
First Round ties should be played by Saturday 5th November 2022, unless mutually agreed otherwise, and a confirmed date for the Rams trip to Greenwich Avenue will be confirmed in due course.
Should ties be level after 90 minutes, 30 minutes of extra time will be played and if the game is still level, then it will be decided by a penalty shoot-out.
To be eligible to feature in the 2022/23 FA Youth Cup, players must have been born on or after 1st September 2004 and before 1st September 2007.
