Derby County return to Sky Bet League One action on Saturday when Bolton Wanderers are the visitors to Pride Park Stadium (3pm kick-off).

It's just a month since the two sides last faced off in league action, a cagey affair that ended 0-0 at the University of Bolton Stadium in Derby's final away day of 2022.

In the lead-up to Saturday's meeting getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know…

Team News

James Chester (calf) remains an absentee and is unavailable for Saturday's clash, with Head Coach Paul Warne not expected the centre-back to return to the fold until March.

Winger and new signing Tony Springett is fit and available for selection for the visit of Bolton after signing on loan from Norwich City for the rest of the season earlier this week.

Warne's Words

Head Coach Paul Warne sat down with RamsTV to preview Saturday's clash between the two top six rivals.

He said: "We will try and grab the game from the outset, however, Bolton have spent the entire week doing the same thing. Hopefully - and I say this with the upmost respect - the best team wins.

"Both teams have been defensively reasonably solid in recent weeks and I just think in those magic moments, you just need your best players to stand up. There may not be many moments but we just have to take them."

From The Dressing Room

Midfielder Conor Hourihane spoke to RamsTV to preview Saturday's fixture.

He said: "They are a good side. They are bang in the mix themselves. They will probably have the same ambitions of us where they want to cement a play-off spot and see where it takes them after that.

"It was a very tight game over Christmas where each team could have nicked it 1-0, but it ended up in a 0-0 draw. I expect another tight game again but hopefully we can come out on top this time and create that little bit of quality that can win the game."

Match Officials

Jeremy Simpson will take charge of Saturday's clash between the Rams and the Trotters.

Matthew McGrath and Matthew Smith will assist him whilst Declan Bourne will be on fourth official duties.

Simpson has taken charge of 16 matches so far this season with the majority of those taking place in the Championship.

He's handed out 74 yellow cards, awarded three penalties and is yet to send anyone off.
