Derby County striker David McGoldrick has been nominated for the PFA Vertu Motors League One Fans' Player Of The Year Award.

The striker has earned himself a nomination following the best scoring season in his career to date with the Rams.

McGoldrick found the net 25 times across the season with 22 of those coming in Sky Bet League One.

The 35-year-old scored an impressive three hat-tricks in the campaign, the first of those being the first of his career in the 4-2 home victory over Bristol Rovers back in October. He also netted trebles in the home wins against Forest Green Rovers in December and Morecambe in February.

McGoldrick is up against Aaron Collins of Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham Town's Alfie May, Conor Chaplin of Ipswich Town, Jonson Clarke-Harris of Peterborough United and Plymouth Argyle's Finn Azaz for the award.
