Ross Burbeary joined Derby County as Head of Football Development & Performance in February 2023.
Burbeary, a highly qualified and skilled individual with significant experience in professional football, took up his position after leaving Lincoln City in order to join the Rams.
He had spells at Sheffield Wednesday (Assistant Academy Sports Scientist), Doncaster Rovers (Head of Sports Science/Strength & Conditioning), Hereford United (First Team Strength & Conditioning Coach/Sports Scientist), Crawley Town (Head of Sports Science/Strength & Conditioning), Nottingham Forest (Head of Sports Science & Research), Rotherham United (Performance and Medicine Manager) and finally Lincoln (Head of Performance) in English football.
He has also worked as a Consultant Physiologist and Strength & Conditioning Coach in Ice Hockey, while he had a spell as Head of Science & Conditioning and Rochester Americans.
Burbeary has also been a Lecturer in Exercise Physiology and Performance Nutrition at Sheffield Hallam University.
